Oversea Learning
UK English Immersion Camp
In order to create opportunities for students to experience authentic
English environment in the UK, Yew Wah has established an English
Learning Centre in Somerset, the UK and organises regular English
Immersion Camps.
Each camp lasts for two to three weeks. The
programme "English Classrooms" will be conducted during the weekdays,
which includes
English language lessons taught by native English-speaking teachers,
as well as classes and after-school activities in local
schools together with children of the same ages. They will enjoy
interactive learning activities such as art, drama, tours, home
visits, sports games, etc. At weekends, students will join sightseeing
tours and university visits to get to know various aspects of English
history, culture and lifestyles; destinations include London, Oxford
University, Bath, Glastonbury Abby, Wells, Stonehenge, Cheddar,
etc.
Yew Wah's English Learning Centre is located
at Chedzoy, a traditional English village in Somerset. In addition
to providing safe and
comfortable facilities for students, it also enables students to
get a real taste of the English country life!
During the camps, students will experience overseas study life.
They will also learn to take care of themselves and fellow classmates
through taking up daily tasks in the camp.
