The Yew Wah team of professional early childhood educators is committed to visionary educational mission and philosophy and strives to develop quality curriculum, pedagogy research and professional training of teachers. It is hoped that in response to the needs of children and their parents, our team and its counterparts of the profession at other places can collaborate to study educational models that keep up with the times, and explore the forefront of scientific educational studies to cope with the challenges of the new century.
The academic research unit of Yew Wah carries out academic researches and training based on the operation of the kindergartens of Yew Wah. Its research areas cover curriculum, pedagogy, learning environment, teaching material and school-parents relationship. In terms of training, the unit develops its own training content and material and organises regular training for the Yew Wah teachers. The training is also offered to teachers of other educational institutions. The unit has been invited by the Education Bureau of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, to operate training programmes for local kindergartens. The unit acts as a base for teachers' continuing learning through which exchanges among teachers can be facilitated and thus the overall quality of China's early childhood education can be enhanced.
