A Level (University Preparation)
The University Preparation Programme of Yew Wah Yantai and Shanghai is operated
on the basis of the A Level curriculum of the Cambridge International
Examinations Board, using English as the major language of instruction.
A Level equals to the third year of Senior Secondary in Chinese schools
and the first year of University. A wide variety of subjects are
offered for students to choose from, such as English, Maths, Physics,
Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Economics, Commerce, Music,
Art and Design, Accounting, Law and Computer Studies. Upon the successful
completion of the A Level Programme and the exams, students can obtain
the internationally recognised A Level Certificate which facilitates
students' pursuit of further studies overseas.
Yew Wah graduates had received impressive results in Cambridge examinations and they have all been accepted by overseas universities of their own choices. In 2009, Nancy Wang from YWIES-Shanghai, happily received a full three-year scholarship from University of Southampton in the U.K. For more information on university acceptance of Yew Wah graduates, please go to the University Acceptance Profile webpage.
